Hippie-Chick meets Amish guy next door!

Jane Abigail Reeves is Little Wild Flower. Raised in the city; Jane and her family move to a farmhouse in a rural Amish community in Indiana as a respite for her alcoholic mother. When she stumbles upon her handsome Amish neighbor, Elijah, she sets out to teach him her big city ways, while he introduces her to the quiet life of the Amish.
Attempting to convert him to her hippie lifestyle, she finds herself drawn to his ways, unable to deny her love for him.
Set in the 1970’s, Jane’s story is full of cultural obstacles she must overcome in order to put an end to the dysfunction of her family’s past.
Can a hippie-chick like Jane find friendship and more with an Amish man, despite their cultural differences?

AMISH ROMANCE

Little Wild Flower Book 1 edition by Samantha Bayarr Religion Spirituality eBooks

I have enjoyed Ms Bayarr's writing and have downloaded a "truckload" of her books. I had read Unto Thee before I read this book and couldn't wait to see what happened next. I can't wait to finish the next two books of the series either. I am 67 years young so don't agree with anyone who feels the book is only for young people. I found it interesting to learn about how some Amish are allowed to marry outside of their group. Even though I don't agree with the negative reviews I do acknowledge that we are all entitled to an individual opinion and that we don't all like the same things. I am thrilled that Jane had a happy life after living a nightmare in her childhood. And no, reading about the nightmare was not entertaining but it was educational, and gives me much sympathy for children and spouses of alcoholics. This sad fact of life reminds us to be thankful if we had a better life. Thank you for a great book, Ms Bayaar!

Little Wild Flower Book 1 edition by Samantha Bayarr Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

I purchased this book thinking it would be a quick, easy, fun read as most Amish fiction in this price range are. Starting with the first few pages I noticed some odd inaccuracies about Amish living. I know it is Fiction. I know Fiction is a made up story. However, when marketed toward a certain culture I expect the author to have some knowledge of said culture. I have read another book by the same author and enjoyed it, so I know she can write. This book was so badly written I could not finish it. I would love to tell the author to either read other Amish Fiction authors so she can know more about the culture/lifestyle or pick something else to write about.
I love how the family was finally able to accept and blend into a brand new life. I also love the changes the new life has brought back the family together and found their true calling. This is for me an excellent read. I highly recommend this to all book lovers. Kudos to the author!
Really Liked this series and as the other series that come along best just get them all at once. Light reading and fun to read, relaxing too. I don't think I have read any Amish story yet that I didn't like or wanted more to the story so, YEP, this is a really good series to read but the down side on my part is not patience as I'm now waiting for books 4 Little Wild Flower In Bloom and book 5, Little Wild Flowers Journey...sure wish someone could tell me when they will be out. GAB
I chose this rating due to the fact that people outside the Amish community moved to the Amish country with their peoples
ways and teachings. The wife was a recovered alcoholic and they moved with their children. The wife and spouse
adjusted fully and the children finally did too. They were able to have inside bathroom and electricity if powered by windmill.
They were able to keep their car and the dad had a job outside the community. Finally the children adjusted and married
into the Amish people and had children of their own. Good story.
This book tells of a family that moves to an Amish community and how their lives are changed as they adjust to the culture. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Jane was angry, because her mother was a drunk, they had to move out of the city to the middle of nowhere, to a house that didn't have a bathroom! It didn't even have electricity! How could her parents expect her to live without all of her friends in a place like this?! Her father wants them to learn from their Amish neighbors.
Quite something for a teenager to adjust to under the best of circumstances.
We follow Jane as she navigates life in this strange place. There is a Boy, a neighbor, Elijah, that catches her eye, but at 14, she is much to young to date, or "court" as her Amish neighbors call it. Follow along as their young love blossoms.
A sweet tale of young love.
Be a part of this love story and Biblical account of what marriage should be for all. One is drawn into discussions and feelings that goes along with young love
